Margaret (Owens) Newsome

Margaret Owens Newsome, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025.

She was born on November 25, 1943, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Lenza Ray Newsome; her beloved children, Lenza Ray Newsome Jr. Da’won Newsome, Darlene Fulcher  and Lateefah Irvine.

She also leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. The family will honor and celebrate her life privately at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Genesis Mortuary Services of Dunn.
